Tien Shan International School is a branch ofTien Shan Education Center, a non-profit NGO registered with the government. One of the school's chief goals is to offer low-cost education to its member families. To do this, the school recruits teaching, administrative, and support staff that are able to pay their own way through a personal retirement fund, support group, or volunteer organization account. Though the school does not provide salaries, housing, food, airplane tickets, or pay for visas, it does apply for visas on behalf of staff, provide transportation for daily commuting, facilitate professional development for staff, and allow for lunches to be sold by those who desire to serve their community. TSIS offers an experience that will change your life. The current TSIS building was completed in 2012 with capacity for 250 students and provides a great environment for developing TCKs including a gymnasium, sports field, and auditorium. As of 2019, class sizes range from 8 to 18 and enrollment is around 150 students. This is a very exciting time for TSIS, please consider us when making your decision as to where to serve.
