Are You Called...To spend one year sharing the love of Christ while helping pregnant and parenting teens and women prepare for a brighter future? As a live-in Residential House Manager (or Weekend Relief), you are a key member of our supportive client focused, family development staff.
SOLVE Homes is currently seeking energetic, highly motivated, responsible, mature and loving Christian women or couples to serve as live-in House Managers (Full-Time) and Weekend Relief House Managers (Part-Time) for our homes in Bradenton, Englewood and / or Sarasota Florida. These positions provide a nurturing and structured living environment for pregnant and parenting women whom have chosen life for their babies. Must have a heart for serving women of all ages (minors and adults) that have been abused, abandoned or neglected and through the love of God provide positive life-skills direction.
Since 1976, SOLVE Homes has provided a safe place for women to grow emotionally, physically and spiritually during their residential time in one of our homes as they prepared for motherhood or to lovingly release their child for adoption. SOLVE positively guides each woman as she prepares for her future, developing an individual life plan. House Managers work closely with the Client Services Manager, Case Managers and Counselors to propel women on their personal road towards success. A heart of gold and nerves of steel are required.
House Managers are on their feet throughout the day providing transportation to medical and educational appointments, supervising program activities and ensuring household care and maintenance is successfully achieved. This position role models the responsibility of home care and parenting to our residents as they themselves prepare to become parents. Overseeing the household calendar and scheduling, monitoring resident chores and points earned, dispensing medications, conducting fire drills and other requirements for regular health department, fire department and DCF licenses is critical. Minimum requirements: must be 23 years or older, have valid driver’s license with at least 3 years driving experience, safe driving record and automobile insurance, HS diploma or GED, pass background check, physical and drug screens and be able to regularly lift 20 pounds. Must be eligible to work in the United States. Benefit package includes: Salary, temporary housing in a furnished on-campus apartment. Full Time House Managers are scheduled Sunday 5:30 p.m. to Friday 5:30 p.m. Weekend Relief House Managers are scheduled Friday 5:30 p.m. to Sunday 5:30 p.m. once or twice monthly.

SOLVE operates four DCF licensed maternity residences which each serve four to eight women and teens at a time through the duration of pregnancy and for a pre-determined time post-birth. All residents are provided intensive counseling, case management services and life-skills training as well as educational support and employment assistance which helps them to prepare for their exit from SOLVE into a stable living environment following the birth of their baby. The average stay for a SOLVE resident is approximately 6 - 8 months.
The SOLVE program serves women and teens who are planning on parenting and those who may pursue an adoption plan. We are a non-denominational, Christian organization and there is never a cost for our services. Our vision is to empower pregnant women and teens through the love of God by being a source of light and hope in a dark world.
Solve Maternity Homes was established in 1976 to provide housing and structured life services to women of all ages who are pregnant and need of a support system. Located on the Gulf Coast of Florida, Solve has four residential maternity homes and serves an average of 45 women and their childrend each year. We are Saving Babies & Raising Moms!
