Job Description:

Position Summary: 

Working alongside the Facilities Director to improve and maintain the facilities. 

Working Relationships:

  • Accountable to the Facilities Director
  • Working alongside Facilities Director on daily basis

 Responsibilities:

  • Spiritual Life
    • Committed to a daily walk with Jesus, spending regular time in the study of scripture and prayer
  • Resident Life
    • Involved in a weeknight Community Group (small group)
    • Participate in regular 1-on-1 with students from the Community Group
    • Participate in on-campus activities
    • Be available to transport students to church, doctor, airport, etc.
    • Be present, on a regular basis, during meal times
    • Lead a fall Backpack Trip (30-70 miles)
    • Participate in the spring student trip
  • Facility, Vehicle and Equipment Maintenance Leadership
    • Establish and promote a helpful and courteous attitude for all who interact with the facility operations, which includes vehicles and equipment.
    • Maintain an understanding of facility functions and address all needs and concerns to the Facilities Director.
    • Maintaining facilities in a regularly scheduled manner.
    • Respond to emergencies promptly.
    • Happily attend and participate in all staff meetings, required activities and staff functions.
  • Planning
    • Give insight to Facilities Director as to needs on campus
  • Project Management
    • In cooperation with the Facilities Director, execute annual projects.
    • Work alongside/Oversight of volunteers assisting in campus projects.
    • Help in oversight of facilities-staff functions of project implementation.

  • Experience
    • Capabilities in one or multiple pertinent areas of facility related ministry.
    • Hands on experience in one or multiple areas of facilities related work.

  • Agrees with the Mission and Doctrinal Statement of C-N Mission / MWSB.
  • Have a genuine love and appreciation for college-aged students.
  • Understands that by becoming an employee, they will submit their personal preferences and expectations as secondary to the needs of the overall ministry
  • Demonstrate professionalism through his appearance, attitude and loyalty
  • Single male, no children

Measurability

  • Perform all components of the job description
  • Accountability is maintained through regular, personal meetings with the Facilities Director.

 

Salary & Expected Hours:

  • Status: Full-time permanent; Salaried
  • Expected Pay Range: TBD
  • Housing Provided: Estimated Market Value = $1,200 per month / $14,400 per year
  • Utilities Provided: Estimated Market Value = $250 per month / $3,000 per year
  • Year Round Meals Provided: Estimated Market Value = $7 per person, per meal X 1 = $7,560 per year
  • Additional Provisions: Health Plan (Samaritans Ministries), Ministry resources, FICA allowance
  • Time Off: 2-4 weeks, summer vacation; 3 weeks off during December, winter break; 1 week off during spring break; 1 week off after graduation
