MP Coordinator (MP - Missionary Pastor)

Accountability Objective 

This position exists to assist the Director of Missionary Ministries in serving the national and regional leaders of missionary pastors in the CIS, so that new churches are planted in unreached areas and the Gospel is advanced through the local churches. 

Division Definition and Scope 

The Ministry Division fulfills the mission’s purpose of honoring God by acknowledging the Lordship of Christ in all aspects of our lives, by submitting to a regular discipline of prayer, creating a missionary vision, serving the church in the CIS by responding to the church’s spiritual and material needs, and serving them as God leads them.  The Ministry Division also bridges the relationships between the churches in the US with the churches in the CIS, serving to encourage and strengthen them in fulfilling the Great Commission.  

The purpose of the Ministry Division is a systematic, Biblical approach, which seeks to develop strong regional churches, capable of training, equipping, and sending their own to produce multiplying daughter churches throughout their region in Russia.  

Relationships 

The MP Coordinator is accountable to the Director of Missionary Ministries. He/She will interact closely with the Finance Department, Church Relations Department and others in the Ministry Division. 

Personal Qualifications 

The MP Coordinator should have a good command of the English language, and grammar rules. Some college education is preferred but not necessary. This person must work well under authority, be detail oriented, be able to follow procedures as outlined, a self starter who is able to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrate initiative, able to maintain confidentiality of data. Must be familiar with word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software.  Must be able to learn new computer programs as necessary including SGA’s customer relationship management (CRM) system.  Must have good interpersonal communication skills and willing to work in a team environment.  Knowledge of the Russian language would be helpful. 

As a representative of SGA, he/she must be a born-again believer, demonstrating a personal trust and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ. Must be an individual of proven character, living consistently according to biblical principles, not given to complaining or criticism, but demonstrating the fruit of the spirit as part of his or her daily life. It is essential that he/she actively fellowship within a local church as a part of the body of Christ.  

Responsibilities 

  1. Review reports and forward to donors. 
  2. Forward partners’ correspondence to MPs (letters, surveys, special needs, etc.)? 
  3. Monitor sponsors’ giving (churches and individuals.) 
  4. Contact sponsors to clarify donations.? 
  5. Enter support level changes and keep reminders on upcoming changes. 
  6. Communicate with RMC offices on MP projects and thank you letters. 
  7. Maintain Teams records of MP information (profile, reports, pictures.) 
  8. Maintain Teams candidate folder and keep it up to date. 
  9. Take phone calls from donors and potential donors. 
  10. Inform donors of MP changes and/or replacements. 
  11. Assist in other responsibilities and special projects as required by the Director of Missionary Ministries.
