Pastors Charlie and Jennifer Tuttle and Genesis Church in McKinney, Texas, are

seeking a student ministry pastor, preferably a married couple (or soon to be married),

who’s passionate to reach and disciple the next generation as Student Pastor(s).

Genesis is a growing church that desires to reach the next generation of students.

Understands the dynamics of working on a ministry team and with pastoral leadership.

Has an appropriate level of educational degree/study.

Welcomes being in a relationship with the leadership team.

Genesis Church has four core values: connect, grow, serve, reach. The leader over

Genesis Student Ministries will be exposed to quality leadership experiences,

opportunities and relationships. Therefore, only candidates who embrace our mission

and values will be considered. Candidates should have a definite commitment to the

local church and a confirmed calling into ministry. They will be on-boarded with a team

of experienced and committed pastors/leaders.

Genesis Church is Pastor directed, Board advised and led by the pastoral team. The

staff serves at the pleasure of the Lead Pastors. Since the pastors invest into their

team, the Tuttle’s are looking for candidates that desire growth, longevity and making a

significant difference in and through their ministry.

Candidates that best blend into our team speak honestly and think objectively. As

Student Pastor, the candidate will enter an environment of trust, mentorship and

oversight relating to their competencies, abilities and leadership development. Creativity

is a plus; responsibility is a must.

We are looking for team members who are attractional, pleasant and kind. Alignment

with the 16 fundamentals of the Assemblies of God is expected, although credentials

with the Assemblies of God are not required. Candidates should be self-motivated and

self-managing. Maturity, self-awareness and a flexible mindset are expected.

Genesis Church uses assessment tools including, but not limited to Working Genius,

Myers-Briggs Personality, Clifton Strengths Finder, DISC, Spiritual Gifts and possibly

other assessments. Candidates must pass a criminal background check or be able to

sufficiently explain any background discrepancy.
