Personal Assistant for the Giese Foundation and Brian Giese

The Giese Foundation/Brian Giese needs a versatile, highly organized personal assistant to perform administrative and personal duties for our Christian family office. In this role, our personal assistant will be the go-to person for all needs including daily administration, calendar management, travel schedules, project or event coordination, and correspondence on behalf of the family office.
This role must be a professional with an interest in faith-based non-profits, enjoyment in multi-tasking, and exemplary planning and time management skills. They must be intuitive to the needs of the family and work autonomously to provide customized administrative and organizational support with outstanding verbal and written communication. This position is currently home-based.
Personal Assistant Responsibilities:
• Reporting to Mr. Giese and working very closely with other family members.
• Typing, formatting, and editing documents, and presentations.
• Managing internal and external correspondence on behalf of Mr. Giese.
• Scheduling appointments, maintaining an events calendar, and sending reminders.
• Managing and planning events is a must.
• Copying, scanning, and faxing documents, as well as taking notes.
• Making administrative decisions and acting on business and personal needs.
• Observing best business practices and etiquette.
Personal Assistant Requirements:
• Local to Annapolis, MD, or surrounding areas is a must.
• A college degree is a must.
• Must be a mature, flexible, and experienced person.
• Familiarity with grant funding, writing, reviewing, etc.
• Extensive experience in creating documents and spreadsheets, using office software such as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Advanced typing, note-taking, record-keeping, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage internal and external correspondence.
• Proficiency in appointment scheduling software such as MS Outlook and Google Drive.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills.
