Kid's Director

The Kids Director plays a vital role in fostering the faith and character of grade school children, 18 months to grade 5, building strong relationships with parents, and creating a supportive community. This position focuses on spiritual development, parental engagement, and effective program implementation, ensuring alignment with Rock City Church’s mission to love God, love people, and make a difference.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in children’s ministry or youth leadership.
• Strong understanding of child development and spiritual growth.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead a team of volunteers and coach developing leaders.
• Organizational skills and attention to detail in managing programs and events.
• Preferred Bachelor’s degree in theology, ministry, education, or a related field.
• Familiarity with Rock City Church’s vision and commitment to excellence in childhood spiritual development.

Responsibilities:

• ROCK CITY KIDZ (18 months - Grade 5)
  • Spiritual Development of Grade School Children:
    • Implement age-appropriate Bible lessons and activities.
    • Organize engaging worship experiences and prayer times.
    • Encourage participation in church events and programs.
    • Provide mentorship and guidance to nurture faith and character.
    • Train youth on how to be future faith-filled leaders and set up programs to facilitate spiritual growth.
  • Foster Relationships with Parents:
    • Communicate regularly with parents about their child’s progress and spiritual growth.
    • Offer resources and support for at-home spiritual activities.
    • Host parent-child events to strengthen family faith bonds.
    • Create opportunities for parents to be involved in ministry activities.
    • Coordinate with parents of youth group members regarding their children’s involvement and participation in the church.
  • Program Administration and Volunteer Management:
    • Train and recruit volunteers for efficient implementation of church programs.
    • Administer and plan numerous youth programs like evangelism, retreats, and Bible study sessions.
    • Assist in organizing and compiling of Sunday school curriculum.
    • Develop and maintain effective relationships with various leaders in the community for purposes of swift outreach programs.
  • Counseling and Leadership Development:
    • Provide counseling to youth and help them realize their individual goals.
    • Participate and contribute to staff and church meetings.
