Position Title: Part-Time Youth Pastor
Reports To: Current Youth Pastor
Location: New Life Christian Fellowship, Fortville, Indiana
Weekly Hours: 20-30 hours/week
Compensation: $30,000 annually (Part-Time)
Future Compensation: $40,000 annually + benefits (Full-Time upon transition)

Position Overview:
New Life is seeking a passionate and relational Part-Time Youth Pastor to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who is excited to grow in ministry leadership while serving under the mentorship of our current Youth Pastor. This individual will play a vital role in leading and discipling our youth (grades 6-12) while preparing to assume full leadership of the youth ministry when the current Youth Pastor transitions to the Lead Pastor role. This position will begin as part-time (20-30 hours/week) with an annual salary of $30,000. Upon the transition to a full-time position, the salary will increase to $40,000 annually plus benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the current Youth Pastor in planning, organizing, and leading weekly youth group gatherings (average attendance: 20-30 students).
• Build and maintain meaningful relationships with youth, parents, and volunteers.
• Assist with teaching and discipling students through biblically grounded and relevant messages and small groups.
• Plan and facilitate youth events, retreats, and mission opportunities.
• Help foster a welcoming and Christ-centered environment that encourages spiritual growth.
• Be active in the schools we serve by engaging with programs such as FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes), Campus Life, and attending lunches to connect with students.
• Collaborate with the current Youth Pastor on long-term ministry goals and strategies.
• Participate in church-wide initiatives, events, and Sunday services as needed.
• Shadow the current Youth Pastor to gain insight into the leadership and operational responsibilities of a youth ministry.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing the church’s social media platforms, creating engaging and consistent content to connect with students, families, and the broader church community.
• Oversee updates to the church website, ensuring it remains current, relevant, and user-friendly.
• If musically gifted, assist with worship leadership or facilitation (additional compensation for this responsibility).
• Assist with the young adult ministry, helping to connect and disciple young adults in their faith journey.

Future Transition:
This role is designed as a developmental position that will grow into a full-time Youth Pastor role
when the current Youth Pastor transitions to the Lead Pastor position. At that time, the position
will become full-time (40+ hours/week) with an annual salary of $40,000 plus benefits.

New Life is located in the growing community of Fortville, Indiana. With an average attendance
of 250 members, we are a welcoming and family-focused church committed to proclaiming the
gospel and equipping the next generation to follow Jesus. Our youth ministry averages 20-30
students weekly and plays an essential role in the life of our church.
