Sales position - Christian Education Sector

Salem Media Group offers exceptional opportunity for a strong sales leader. This Account Executive / Media Strategist will play a crucial role in driving revenue and growth through strategic business development, specifically targeting Christian schools, seminaries, universities, and other educational institutions and programs. This position will also focus on identifying and maximizing media and advertising opportunities for both radio and digital.

Responsibilities

• Business Development:
o Identify, target, call, and secure new business opportunities that align with Christian education goals.
o Develop and implement strategies to attract and retain key clients and partners in the education sector, focusing on Christian schools (from pre-k to universities).
• Program Management:
o Oversee the planning, execution, and optimization of Christian Education advertising/media opportunities.
o Ensure that programs are designed to meet revenue targets and enhance the clients target audience experience.
• Client Relations:
o Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
o Act as the primary point of contact for inquiries and provide exceptional service to address their needs and preferences.
• Market Research:
o Conduct market research to understand industry and educational trends, competitive landscape, and preferences within the education sector.
o Use insights to refine strategies and stay ahead of market developments.
• Media Advertising prospects for Radio and/or Digital:
o Identify advertising opportunities and secure funding for both digital and radio.
o Tailor digital and audio offerings to meet the unique needs of Christian schools (from pre-k to universities, seminaries).
• Data Analysis:
o Analyze program performance metrics, including engagement patterns, enrollment behavior, and revenue growth.
o Prepare regular reports and recommendations based on data-driven insights to drive continuous improvement.
• Collaboration:
o Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to ensure alignment and successful execution of educational enrollment programs.
• Innovation:
o Continuously explore and propose new ideas and approaches to enhance engagement and enrollment programs.
o Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies relevant to educational institutions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in business development, with a focus on Christian education verticals
• Proven track record of achieving business growth and managing successful programs.
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field is a plus.
• Strong business acumen with excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in data analysis, CRM software, and project management tools.
• Depth of understanding of educational system, enrollment behavior/patterns and engagement strategies in the education sector.
• Familiarity with educational industry trends and competitive dynamics.
• Ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions to drive program success.

Compensation

$70k - $90k plus commission
