Positions Summary:
The Communications Director is responsible for overseeing graphic arts, digital photography, layout design, and video production. They provide graphic support for all internal and external communications of the church and oversee the upkeep of the website and all church social media platforms.
Primary Responsibilities:
Leadership and Oversight: Work alongside the Director of Teams to manage and oversee all creative ats independant contractors, freelancers, vendors, and volunteers.
Strategic Planning: Plan and coordinate video and photoshoots, and create graphics for sevices and events. Develop systems to curate shortlists, storyboards, and any other necessary preparatory information for all volunteers and staff involved.
Standardization: Develop and maintain a standard of excellence by utilizing systems, templates, and any other necessary tools to ensure that our work is proactive, current, creative, and repeatable.
Development Build dynamic teams by recruiting, training, and empowering volunteer and staffed photographers, videographers, graphic designers, and editors. Work to fully utilize the talents and skills of all group members to best display and foster growth in
their abilities.
Optimization: Proactively initiate conversations and meetings to ensure the highest level of understanding for an optimal experience. Understand and advocate for team members and consistently communicate the “why” behind our creative approach in the local church.
